TALENTSPIRE ENVIRONMENT MEET

A seminar for school children on one of the major challenge faced by humanity, 'Climate Change and Environmental Degradation', was organized by Talentspire at Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Kochi in association with Divecha Centre for Climate Change, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore on 26^th and 27^th 
October 2018.

The programme consisted of lectures by eminent scientists like Prof. Srinivasan, Distinguished Scientist and Founder Chairman, Divecha Centre for Climate Change, IISc, Bangalore; Prof. S. K. Satheesh, Chairman, Divecha Centre for Climate Change, IISc, Bangalore & Professor, Centre for Atmospheric
and Oceanic Sciences, IISc, Bangalore and Prof. A.A. Mohamed Hatha, Professor, Dept. of Marine Biology, Microbiology and Biochemistry, School of Marine Sciences, CUSAT, Cochin. The lectures addressed Science of Climate Change, Aerosols and Climate- Science and Policy and An experience sharing on Arctic Expedition. The highlight of the event was Student interaction with Climate Science Experts and Climate Science Quiz for students. The program concluded with student interaction with Shri. M. C. Dathan, Scientific Advisor to Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala.

Around 1500 students actively participated in this mega event.
