TOPPER’S CLIMATE QUIZ

Climate Change and the Future

A two day meet on ‘Climate change and the future’ aimed to inspire young minds to search for sustainable and practical solutions to climate related challenges and issues was organized by Talentspire at Kerala State and Science and Technology Museum, Thiruvananthapuram in association with Divecha Centre for Climate Change, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore on 8th and 9th June 2018.

The meet was inaugurated by Shri. S. Somanath, Director Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram and Dr. V. K. Dadhwal gave the inaugural address. Various
sessions gave deep insights on Latest Scientific Advances in the field of Climate Science and The Impact of Climate Change was conducted by Prof. Srinivasan,
distinguished Scientist and Founder Chairman, Divecha Centre for Climate Change, IISc, Bangalore; Prof. S. K. Satheesh, Chairman, Divecha Centre for Climate Change,
IISc, Bangalore & Professor, Centre for Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, IISc, Bangalore; Dr. N. Poornachandra Rao, Director, National Centre for Earth Science Studies, Thiruvananthapuram.


The spotlight of the event was Student interaction with Climate Science Experts and Climate Science Quiz for students. Over 200 selected students from X, XI, XII with high grades in State syllabus, CBSE and ICSE boards from various schools in Thiruvananthapuram city participated in the mega event.
